Relationship talk
A conversation worth having before the relationship becomes a fact by inertia — when leaving is simply too costly. You move through one shared structure together and write answers in the moment, not from memory: where you are now, how you got here, what you managed to agree on and what is a dealbreaker for each. Topics can be added, removed and shuffled; everything stays in this browser only, and the result exports to a PDF you can load back later to continue or re-check.
Who we are
A short introduction. The names here label the answer blocks below.
Where we are now
Go through each option in turn and write what in it is true about us and what is not. Several may fit, or none.
How we got here
For each step — what each of you remembers and feels about it: how it stayed in memory, what it meant then and how it feels now. Not a log of events but impressions, so each answers for themselves. Steps that did not happen can simply be left blank.
What else binds us
Beyond the wish to be together. Write facts, without judgements.
Indicators
These are not topics to agree on but states: things you cannot negotiate — they are either there or not. Each answers for themselves: yes, no, or don’t know. The other does not argue with the answer, they hear it. Below, the page shows where the answers diverged.
- A short, checkable list: children, city, fidelity, addictions, violence. Not to debate — to hear.
No indicator divergences — answers either match or are not filled in yet.
Topics
Take them in random order. For each topic one states their position, the other restates it and states theirs, then write the outcome.
